Coming up the valley of the river Castellano, on the border between Marche and Abruzzo, we discover a small settlement perched on an imposing cliff of travertine: it is Castel Trosino, a characteristic village that has maintained over time its original medieval appearance.
We continue along an uphill dirt road that will take us to Colle San Giacomo in the municipality of Valle Castellana, where there is a wide view of the Tronto river valley. After a short break, we'll choose the trail that best suits the technical skills of the participants, going downhill along one of the magnificent paths that bring us back to the capital.
